FOR TEENS

Department of Motor Vehicle Requirements for teens behind the wheel:

Permits may be obtained at 15 years and 6 months.
Minimum age to obtain a Virginia Driver's License is 16 years and 3 months. Must complete 36 periods of Classroom Instruction (Valid Dec-1 Certificate).

DRIVING EDUCATION /
RE-CERTIFICATION COURSE

Requirements for Driver's Education Course:

36 fifty-minute lessons
No permit is required for in-class course
Must be at least 14 years and 6 months old
Must read, write and speak English

You are not alone. Many people have and many people will experience this journey. Learning to drive is not difficult, BUT it does require commitment.

While doing this, she emphasizes safe driving and gives you several tips to achieve this end. By the time you take the test, you feel perfectly prepared, and it does not seem any more stressful than the previous behind the wheel sessions. Overall, I would describe Miss Stephanie as an experienced, friendly, and attentive instructor. At the moment, three people in my family have passed the driver's test on the first try, and I know that my younger siblings will have a great teacher when looking to get their license.
